My love of the German language goes back a long way. Born and raised in German-speaking Switzerland, German was the official language at school, from first grade until the end of my studies.
At the age of twenty-four, I moved to England where I worked for a German company, translating texts and corresponding in German with people at the company headquarters.
After returning to my home country, I completed the AKAD translator training in Zurich and Stuttgart. In 2016, I qualified as an adult educator (SVEB 1) in Bern and at the same time completed the internationally recognised EUROLTA (European Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults) teaching programme, which trained me to teach languages using modern methodologies.
Education and diplomas:
Federal Certificate of Proficiency in Business Administration (KV), Type S (Languages).
Cambridge Proficiency in English (CPE), Grade A
AKAD Translator’s Diploma (English-German / German-English), Zurich & Stuttgart
SVEB 1 & EUROLTA Certificate, Berne
